The Richardson & Wrench eastern suburbs agencies, including Double Bay, Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, Elizabeth Bay, Maroubra and Alexandria/Waterloo, work closely as a dedicated group. A particular focus of our group is community support. The local surf life saving club relies heavily on sponsorship, and with limited resources provide the community with a very valuable service.
The opportunity to purchase a new surf boat for them was significant, as several of our Directors have been involved with the Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club for a number of years.
So, to the community that supports us, we’d like to say thank you… and give you something in return.
As part of our on-going commitment, the R&W Eastern Suburbs Group became a 2supporter of the highly respected Starlight Children’s Foundation. Their mission statement is: To brighten the lives of all seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families throughout Australia.
“The entire family is affected when a child is seriously ill and the everyday joys of childhood often take a back seat to the stress of treatment and hospitalisation. Starlight’s programs are designed to give back some of the fun, laughter and joy that a serious illness takes away.” said a Starlight Children’s Foundation spokesperson. Starlight needs help from people like you, to make a difference in the life of a sickl child.
Thus far the R&WES Group has contributed towards wishes for 3 very deserving children, with further plans to help a great many more. Our aim to is to keep supporting Starlight to reach many more seriously ill and hospitalised children.
Supporting the community and forging strong on-going relationships with several 3schools and foundations, the consistent generosity of the Richardson & Wrench Double Bay team has provided much joy to those in need. By giving substantial cash donations over the years – with various specific targets in mind, not only is R&WDB renowned for their success stories in all aspects of real estate but the team is also well known for their community spirit and tireless efforts at raising funds.
Making a substantial donation to St Francis of Assisi School at their Annual Fete on 28 May, R&WDB was proud to contribute much-needed funds towards school computer facilities and to boost literacy, numeracy and sports programs. The fete was presided over by General Peter Cosgrove, Chief of the Defence Force, who had in fact been a student of the school.
Devoting much time and effort in raising the level of goodwill in our community, the R&WDB team made another significant donation as part of our on-going benevolence. This involved sponsoring the Double Bay Public School Spring Walkathon by providing tee-shirts and caps for the marshals, in addition to a financial donation towards the on-going funding of a Special Learning Difficulties Teacher.
